The Hospital Broadcasting Service transmits programmes from our city centre studios to six hospitals in Glasgow and Paisley, 24 hours a day.
The programme schedule is heavily influenced by the thousands of songs patients ask us to play for them each year, with a wide range of music being played on the nightly requests shows (except Saturday) as well as a lot of specialist music shows we broadcast across the whole week.
If you are a patient or you know someone in one of the hospitals we serve, look out on the schedule for the nightly Open Line request shows where you can ask us to play your favourite songs. An on-line request form can be found on our Requests Page.
The volunteer presenters are all really dedicated to providing our listeners with entertainment to help them through their time in hospital.
As well as playing patient’s requested music, we often include recordings of the patient introducing their own song.
Patients also have opportunities to take part in competitions and quizzes plus each Thursday there’s a prize bingo game at 8:30pm. Free Game Cards are handed out on the evening to those wanting to play.
You can access the daily programme schedules using the tabs above.
