Programme Sponsorship

What is Programme Sponsorship?
Programme Sponsorship gives you or your company the opportunity to be associated with a wide range of programmes broadcast daily from The Hospital Broadcasting Service.

How does it work then?
Very simple, we have a wide range of one and two hour programmes available for sponsorship throughout the week and of course at weekends. The content of the programmes is wide and varied to suit the wide and varied audience we broadcast to. For example on a Monday evening we have 'The Country Show' where we play traditional and modern country music followed by 'The Open Line' our nightly two hour request programme. On The Open Line the music played is chosen mainly by the patients at the hospitals we broadcast to. The music chosen can be as varied as Al Jolson to Robbie Williams or Bach to Boyzone.

What happens if I decide to sponsor a programme?
Again it couldn't be simpler. You decide whether you like to sponsor a one hour or a two hour weekly show. We then, with your input, record a sponsor ident, which associates you or your company with the programme you have decide to sponsor.
On a one hour show the sponsor ident will be broadcast a minimum of twice: on the hour and again on the half hour.
On a two hour show there will be a minimum of four inserts, again on the hour and half-hour. When you sponsor a two hour programme for a minimum of a year you or your company's name will be added to our corporate stationary (letterheads etc).

Will many people hear it though?
At the moment we broadcast to six hospitals with additional hospitals due to join shortly. This represents a potential listening audience of around six thousand, though you also have to consider the fact that this is a revolving figure as patients are constantly changing. So really the potential is a great deal larger than you might expect.
