The Hospital Broadcasting Service (HBS) is an award winning totally voluntary organisation that has been providing patients in Glasgow and Paisley with their own dedicated radio channel since Christmas Day 1970.
In addition to broadcasting to the bedside equipment in most wards, patients can also listen-in and hear the programmes in stereo via the Listen Live option above. To find out about the bedside listening equipment in each hospital, follow our ‘listen’ link above.
If you know someone in one of the hospitals we serve, why not request a song for them on our ‘Open Line’ request programme which is broadcast nightly between 8 and 10pm. You can either fill in the on-line request form or get in touch with us directly (details on our contact page).
If you’re interested in volunteering or helping out in other ways there are more details on the contact page or if you want you can make a donation using the ‘Every Click’ link on the right below.
Our seventy volunteer members take real pride in what they do and would like to thank all our donors for their continued support of the Service which is planning to expand over the next few years as new patient entertainment systems are rolled out to more hospitals and an increasing number of listeners hear us on-line.
